OneID unifies the Swiss media landscape

OneID aims to unify premium publishers within the Swiss media landscape around a single ID solution with nationwide reach. This allows brands to target audiences across the entire Swiss digital advertising market.

Driven by a partnership among Switzerland’s top publishing houses, OneID has already integrated key media players such as Blick, 20 Minuten, NZZ, Tages-Anzeiger and all Tamedia and Ringier Media Switzerland titles, as well as CH Media's newspaper titles. The available inventory is set to expand rapidly as more premium publishers join, maximizing advertisers’ reach.

Transparency, control, and data protection are core principles of the OneID solution. In line with these values, OneID has partnered with Decentriq to offer brands a secure and effortless method to convert their CRM identifiers into OneID identifiers, ensuring brands maintain full control over their data.

“Swiss brands are particularly privacy conscious, especially in regulated industries,” says Silvano Oeschger, CEO at OneLog AG. “We wanted to provide all brands with the ability to onboard their sensitive data to OneID in a way that ensures no data is exchanged between organizations. Thanks to Decentriq, total data privacy is guaranteed by their platform, and no one other than the data owner has access to the data at any time.”

Decentriq assures data matching without data sharing

Using Decentriq, brands can match their first-party data securely and privately with all publishers integrated with OneID and receive unique IDs for cross-publisher targeting. These IDs are bidstream compatible and can be utilized with any major DSP.

By onboarding the data to OneID via Decentriq, brands have extra assurance that their data remains inaccessible to others at all times, with no data sharing occurring — not with OneID, Decentriq, or any publisher. This is made possible through Decentriq’s data clean room platform, built on industry-leading privacy technologies such as Microsoft Azure’s confidential computing.

Flexible and transparent model for brands

OneID offers Decentriq’s secure matching capabilities through a freemium model. Onboarding data to create unique IDs for media planning and remarketing is free of charge for all advertisers. Running lookalike campaigns to extend reach will require advertisers to sign up for a direct contract with Decentriq.

“Brands across the globe have been searching for ways to run cross-publisher campaigns in the post-cookie era, and OneID is Switzerland’s answer,” says Juan Baron, Director Business Development & Strategy at Decentriq. “They’re doing monumental work to bring together all the major Swiss publishers and give brands a true cross-publisher targeting solution. Decentriq is excited to play a significant role in this pioneering project that’s built for Switzerland, by Switzerland.”
